Do Not Faint

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
(Galatians 6:9. KJV)

It takes a tremendous amount of spiritual vigor to live victoriously in Christ. To be sure, our most noble deeds will go unnoticed by men, because God works mostly in the realm of the hidden things of the heart, not the showy things of the world. God determines the “due season” when we will reap the reward coming to the faithful. Until then, we must possess our souls with patience and perseverance, refusing to give up, give out, or give in to our flesh, the world, or Satan. We shall surely reap, if we don’t faint. Stay the course, beloved. Your reward awaits.

Our faith must develop to the point where we refuse to capitulate to the doubts and fears that once defeated us. We are not to be overwhelmed by our present hardships, but our focus is on the eternal weight of glory that is ours when we endure. We may not understand all God is doing at the moment, but we can be sure that He loves us, and all things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28). So, take hold of His mighty hand, and He will refresh and renew your faith. Do not faint, for God's word promises you will reap -- and He always keeps His word.

Let’s Pray – Lord, I am determined to draw nearer to Jesus, the Source of my strength. I receive the command to be strong and take courage, and I am determined to stand to the end. In Your name and power, Amen.

  1. Amen. Not by might but by HIS POWER am I able to stand....and then STAND THEREFORE. It's a blessing to come to a point where you are NOT tripping all the time.
